Happy Happy Happy

It’s December people!!! And somehow this month always puts me into a very good mood and I can attribute that to so many reasons.

Maybe it’s the Pune weather! I think Pune has the perfect winter anywhere in the world (not that I have been to very many places) but it gets soooo beautiful during winter. It’s cold enough to bring out your sweaters and wear them throughout the day but it’s not the kind of cold that gets you down and gets your feet all chilly so much so that you can’t work properly. Its beautiful going for a walk at night because the weather dips to a perfect slight chill, all you need to do is walk with your hands dug into your pocket and you are sorted.

Maybe it’s because it’s Christmas time!! I went Christmas tree shopping with Sharon (this really sweet friend of mine) the other day and I had a blast. We went to this shop ‘Furtados’ in Pune. It’s been there for as long as I can remember and I remember going as a kid with my father every year and picking up decorations from there. I guess I have just grown up now and I don’t do it but I’m definitely going to go back there and pick up a nice big Christmas tree for home this year. The decorations were so simply ‘cute’ ( I cant come up with a better word) and got me really excited. But what I loved about shopping there was the fact that it was so crowded! Mums with their daughters and old ladies with their husbands and everyone so kicked about their shopping. I guess just going to that shop signifies the beginning of Christmas for all of them and I loved every minute.

Maybe its because New Years is round the corner and I have my special plans ( nothings confirmed though. It never is till the 31^st of December - 8pm ) and I hope they work out. I have to get a new dress and a pair of new boots ( I think boots look really nice and I don’t have a pair so I think I should get one oh and this friend of mine thinks I will look nice wearing them!) J and for all of you who think New Years eve is not a big deal I think it is and I love getting all excited about it even though it may just be another party.

Maybe its because two of my best friends have their birthday this month! Shala on the 15^th and Shefu on the 30^th and I always look forward to them! And I have a really nice gift planned out for Shala and I’ve been having a lot of fun making it and I can’t wait till its ready to give it to her and I hope she doesn’t read this post before her birthday but I doubt she will anyways. Shefu may just be back from Africa (she works there) for her birthday and that will be perfect!

There is so much to look forward to – makes me think of this one Ally Mcbeal quote – “I live my life like one big Christmas Eve and it makes me happy happy happy!”
